Dublin will mark news eu wahlen World Humanitarian Day with a community programme examining practical methods of helping people through difficult situations.
The programme will be held at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin and will focus on practical approaches to communication, cooperation and community support.
The event reflects the view that humanitarian action is not limited to major emergencies. Everyday acts of organised assistance can strengthen families, neighbourhoods and local organisations.
The methods presented are connected with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers programme, developed from the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. The programme is guided by the principle that “Something can be done about it” and provides training in subjects such as communication, conflict resolution, organisation and assistance to others.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during emergencies and participated in local social-betterment activities around the world.
The Dublin programme will also underline the connection between humanitarian service, civic responsibility and respect for human dignity.
